Poetry – A Hoodie in the Wind by E.L Taylor III

A Hoodie in the Wind by E.L Taylor III

_____________________________

A hoodie in the wind, like a leaf blown off the limbs of a juvenile sapling.

A hoodie in the wind, breezing along the sidewalk without a care in the world.

A hoodie in the wind, like newborn baby with its future ahead of him.

A hoodie in the wind, like a tiger cub with parents that love him.

A hoodie in the wind, like a new graduate about to go off to college.

A hoodie in the wind, like everyone, no different from me or you.

A hoodie in the wind, targeted for no reason and torn apart.

A hoodie in the wind, opening our eyes, hearts and souls.

A hoodie in the wind, like a juvenile sapling down —never able to grow old.
