Poetry: At the movies by E. L. Taylor III

At the movies by E. L. Taylor III

The dreamlike atmosphere of a glorious theater as you enter into a parallel universe of cinematic magic.

The air summoning you to the ticket booth, then to the concession stand for some scrumptious, delicious delights.

A building full of people about to be transported to a new visual, artistic world with aesthetic intrigue.

Cameras opening their eyes to new worlds, stories, characters anything the mind could dream up.

The screen shutting out all of societies unbridled woes and festering problems.

A director commanding their eyes and minds like a drill sergeant.

Viewers taken on an enchanting journey through sight, sound, color and picture.

As the credits roll, dream ends, the viewer awakes.
