Jazz on Sundays – by E.L. Taylor III

______________________________

I awake on a Sunday morning next to my lady/

she sleeps with ease ,because today is our day/

we lay in bed on Sundays like a king and queen of the bedroom/

sometimes its breakfast in bed, sharing fruit and cereal/

sometimes its reading the newspaper or books with her head on my shoulder/

sometimes its laying at opposite ends of the bed staring at each other with a loving gaze/

sometimes its just me holding her and spooning her to our hearts content/

sometimes we just make love all morning/

sometimes we play a game of stealing kisses like lover bandits in the morning/

But the one thing that always stays playing in the background…every Sunday morning is …Jazz on Sundays/
